Jagex releases the Desert Treasure quest. At that point BY FAR the most difficult quest in whole RuneScape. I had been a member for not even three months. I don't think I even had full rune at that point. Every gp I ever made had always been put in training my skills, totalling. I loved the game of CW which had been released about 5 months earlier and I still do.
One of the days following the 18th I was once again having a great time in CW, back then I was a great scorer if I may say so. On my way to make the first point of the game nothing could stop me, I entered my castle, went up the stairs when suddenly...
BAM! out of nowhere I see white cubes popping out, on me, around me, ... I took high hits, but was able to locate whoever made me undergo these sufferings; a 119, full dragon and equipped with some strange staff I had never seen before was making weird moves. He was the first barrager I ever saw, I was thrilled.
From that day on I was fascinated by magic, such a devistating power, nothing would ever be able to stop it! I wanted to be that guy, standing along the side, wearing full dragon, maging passing people with überhits.
But I also remained a totaller, I kept on training other skills, magic always in the back of my head. I got to know the spell that 119 was using, the so called Ice Barrage. 94 mage was needed for it, none of my skills was even close to that!
Thus my main goal from that point on was 94 magic, I wanted to Ice Barrage. I started RuneCrafting, kept on working on other skills too, especially fletching came in handy. Months of training led me to my goal, I had done Desert Treasure, I was close to my desired lvl, I was ready.
-29th of November 2005-
Sparkles above my head! A pop-up above my chat screen! I had reached it, I made my goal! I was now 94 Magic! I felt satisfied...
At this point I joined a clan, DoZ; Disciples of Zaros. My friend Neo Vanish had asked me too. I never was much of a clan's person, didn't like the thought of discipline, but I didn't want to let Neo down, so I made my application. I got accepted, I met the other members...I came down to earth.
You see, I never was much of a RuneScape talker, not someone who likes to add everyone I just talked to for a minute, 10 minutes, half an hour. The strongest friend I had (and a good friend btw) was Dbzc Gohan, a 116 with 99 defence whom I had met during law crafting (I even had made a suggestion @ RS Forum with him, it reached 2000 posts (the maximum) after a month or 2, then I decided lets just let it die out).
Coming into this clan was quite a shocking experience. Suddenly I was surrounded by people who were way stronger than me, I even had them in my friends list! Even so, I still felt some superiority, I was the best mage of the whole clan, I felt powerful, even the 124 (being Wizywirdo) didn't beat me when it came to magic.
But time changes, days pass and the moment came that Wizy felt the urge of training mage himself. He reached 94 in a tempo I could never keep up with and didn't even stop there! No! All my pride, shattered by one simple player. This may occur to you as overreacting, but I can be very competitive. If I care about something, I wanna be the best in it, no matter what. :ph43r:
So once again I picked up my training, I started fletching again, I wanted to become a lvl 99 mage...
So here I am now, still going for that goal and I will make it one day, I don't care when exactly, no need for me to get it tomorrow, but I try my best to spend my time on it.
At the moment I'm still 97 Magic, best clanmage and proud of it(seeing Wizy left :rolleyes: ), but I want more, I'm going for that 99 Magic and I WILL reach it.

I wanted to have an über mage bonus, so I pulled out some forgotten runes and went to the mage training arena 
The result: a Mage's book (3-5 mil), infinity boots (~800K) and infinity gloves (~700K).

Today I reached my goal, I got 99 magic.
At 12:15 local time (GMT+1), I called my friends who were online. They're might have been a bigger turn out if I had waited, but hey
The party held place in the duel arena and afterwards I gave a small drop party.
