Possible Endymia Web Layout

Heavy Critique Please, I dont really want my website to be flawed' when I upload it

3D 3D 3D 3D 3D 3D 3D 3D 3D 3D 3D 3D 3D 3D Dammit!

It all looks so FLAT!

Make it pop out of the page, hit people in the face, rather than sit in the background doing nothing. You have to interest people with the first page they see. I can never emphasise the importance of 3D enough, even if its only a little bit.

I was bored so added some 3d stuff to your design, hope you dont mind:

Anyway, off the subject of 3D for the moment:

Sorry, but i dont really like it. I dont like the wood idea; it just doesnt appeal to me. The way I imagine your endymia, i would think a nice brushed metal/blue design would be nice, perhaps like your endymia background.

I know it is more difficult to make website designs than bgs or sigs, but i really have seen better work from you, anubis. Its all just a bit too boring.

Wood doesnt work in websites today. People like steel and glass, and most importantly 3D.

Well, I would change the font, I don't think it is on all computers, mostly just newer ones or if you buy it... unless you have backup fonts to use if a computer doesn't have it. Other than that, I like it.

P.S.- can you send my the code for that? Or are you using an ImageMap or a slice?

Not everything has to conform to current fads. The point of graphic art is to be different. I personally like it, that is, without the 3d.

Yeah, I was thinking about the font, I like it, but i'll prolly use a simpler one for main text.

I'll give you the code when I've tweaked it, and as far as I know.. I have no idea what an imagemap/slice is.

Thanks, I didnt really want the site to look generic. Or metallic. Since the storyline isnt really sci-fi, but fantasy.

I made the benner first and tried to create a layout that matched it, unfortunately the textures I used didn't like working on a larger scale so I used wood. I'll be changing the banner.

Okay, so so far...

- Change Banner.
- Change Font.
- Make parts lighter to increase contrast.
- Make parts look more three dimensional, (but not like motv did it

(no offence))
- Make link buttons wider.

Anything else?

The only thing I really don't like is the banner, the rest just randomly needs a few changes details, can't really explain in. Maybe add bolts, and try to make it (just a bit) 3D? Don't use Bevel and Emboss (Photoshop), that's just no good.

I give it an 8/10 so far, if you improve I will rate higher
