Computer Randomly Restarting\ Shutting Down

My computer has been randomly shutting down and restarting (any hour or any minute

)
Please suggest on what i should do to fix this problem

Do you get a message like "you have 30 seconds to save your work before restart" or similar to that?

Have you scanned your computer for viruses/spyware/adware lately?

Have you ran windowsupdate lately?

So does that mean you do get an error message like this "you have 30 seconds to save your work before restart" and you have scanned for viruses/spyware/adware lately but your updating now?

If ti is a virus you can go to

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

This is an extreamly good scan, and it is online too ( kinda ike a trail thing, but no download, just scans your computer and delets the viruses )

This works REALLY good, took 7 trojans off my computer. Also if it is a virus and you dont have a firewall you can get a free one at http://www.zonealarm.com
dont do the trail one. use the free one.

I might try this virus scan out myself. See how it compares to McAfee

And maybe you should get sum real virus protection? I suggest downloading AVG its really good. Or eTrust PestPatrol. They are very good for scanning.

But if you want to download a spyware scanner(s). Download Adware Se Personal and Spybot Search&Destroy.
