Advertise!!

man, you guys really got to get your name out there somehow! Runescape community has all teh player, you guys need to get player on this forem befoe they go there. I love rsbandb, but it does get kinda boarding on forems when it takes lik ean hour for someone to reply.

I believe RSBandB will get popular once the guides are out, and we become a full RS fan site.

Problem is, with popularity comes newbs. I'm sure Mike and Shane and most users of the forums want the site to be popular but dont want it to become a newb haven like rune hq.

and we can't really advertise in many places considering that we if post this on any other forum we would probably get in trouble.

Trekkie has a point and also, advertising isn't as easy as you think it is. A lot of sites have to pay or create some sort of exchange in order to get a link to their site to be seen.

well, in what way would you recommend advertising?
advertising on other sites costs money and most fansites don't have too much of that.

another option is telling your friends about this site and that would also be called advertising, and that is possible

I personally like RSBandB just because of hte reason that it isn't that big. Sure, I'm eagerly awaiting content being released on the front page, but for no, I enjoy the slower-paced forums. Besides, a smaller community allows it be closer together, where every user knows every other user.

But like other people are saying, once the content is released on the front page and the databases are done and whatnot, I'm sure the community will pick up.

Well i believe it's time to bring this topic to an end, the only way to advertise is by word of mouth. Unless you'd like to be really generous and donate (which you should all do anyway - this stuff isn't free do you know what you are if you don't donate? A LEECH. I'm going to call you leech boy if you don't donate.).

So do just that, get the name out there - tell you friends/family/worst nightmare/enemy/pets/grandparents/random strangers/aliens and let them know we're about and we're going to be releasing the best RS guides around soon.

If you truly care and truly want this site to achieve great things you will spread the word and get people coming to these forums and helping us build up are DB and guides.
