Manya, you come in for this one.
I dunno. I find autoers usually say something every once in a while to prevent their logging out. One time, I was buying runes from the mage guild, and someone just kept repeating -+= over and over again with exactly 2 minutes in between (Bored enough, eh Alex 43?).
Manya: What confuses me is how they actually program it, if they do, to detect and get away from random events, warp to their bank, etc. Don't you think it would be a lot more work getting these programs to work then actually cutting down the yews or fishing the lobster?
I just usually figure ... let them be. They're paying 5 bucks a month to let a program do something for them. They aren't benefitting at all from it.
Manya: And when they do get the billions of yews and sell them ... what will they do? Buy all barrows, dragon armor, etc, maybe, but what then? Castle Wars would get boring after a while, PKing would be pointless because you're already rich, and if anything, you wouldn't be very skilled or knowledgable of the Runescape world and all its updates.
Agreed, Manya. A few times, I had a rich high level ask me where a place is and how to get whatever. I say, "Read the update" or "How can you NOT know?!?" It's their own fault - they're messing up their own characters.
Manya: "Read the update"? I usually laugh at their insuperiourity. They wear full dragon and don't even know where to get a vanilla pod.
Kharazi Jungle, southwest a ways from the Shilo Village enterance, along the coastline. Look for around 6 vanilla plants, which look different from all the other types of foilage.
Manya: You see? And he NEVER autos! Maybe multi-tasks, but never autos, even for chaos rune - tokkul selling.
I can't feel my fingers anymore ...
Manya: No buy-x, I can understand well, but no SELL-X? Makes no sense.
Anyways, the point, in a nutshell in case you're a forum post autoer of some kind, is that autoers only spoil the game for themselves when they use a program to have fun for them. Runescape training is fun, because you can intereact, talk, and learn a number of neat things from your fellow player (hopefully, except personal information), and if you ask me, the learning process is the funnest thing about Runescape.
Manya: I swear, Alex 43, you'd make a fine player moderator. You've had 10 or so people suggest it to you, including an actual player moderator.
I don't really care about it. I don't have to be a player moderator to enjoy the benefits and learnings of Runescape.
Well, that's all I have to say on the matter. Thanks for listening to my point of view. ... oh, by the way, what's yours, Manya?
Manya: Huh? Oh! Yeah! Player autoers, be warned. Auto at your own risk, cause autoing takes all the fun out of the game and if you're caught, you will have to start ALLLLLL over again!
Well said.
