is it just me? im getting disconnected from runescape roughly 45 times a hour....

I think your right that it would be you. I rarely got any disconnecting problems. So I guess you need to check your internet connection

I used to disconnect alot when i only had 256mb of ram, and when i was running alot of other programs at the same time as runescape, i upgraded my ram and it stopped.

i have 256 ram and it dont discconect my... but when i talk in skype and play rs the same time than the lag is incredible big

It really matters by what your doing and the speed of your connection. Because on my other computer when I listened to music and switch from area to area I had a bit of a lag(even tho I have a cable modem) which is weird. Same just about goes for you internet connection except its just the speed of that.

I get disconnected a lot on my laptop with 256mb RAM but I'm getting it upgraded soon hopefully to stop that. But really the only reason it seems to be doing it is because of the ads so when I become a member again it won't be a problem. :roll: I tend to disconnect every time the ads change. Really starts to get to you when you're in world one, just about to complete a trade. o.o

probably a combination of ram, internet speed, and how many background programs your running that determines it i guess.

lol, anyway, back on topic again. I think disconnecting depends on your Internet connection, not on your RAM. If you have dial-up, you indeed can disconnect extremely often. Background programs may also affect your Internet speed.
