Crashing a RuneScape encomeny...i will tell you why you cant

the runescape economy, i think is ridiculous, and of course you can high alch but that requires high lvls, getting lvl 55 mage isn't that hard but what you high alch is hard, you have to get 85 fletching i believe to make mage long bows and lvl 75 wc, then you have to string them, so yeah its worth the money....anyways, i think it's about 1.4k for every mage long bow high alched, so thats a lot of money entering the economy, but jagex has tried to take some money out, by the "reparing" of barrows armor, caused a semi-large sum of money....so at least jagex is trying to fix the economy

ps someone traded amv a red phat for a d2h :shock:

they wasn't even trying to do that. Jagex isn't trying to fix the economey cause it's not broke. They did that cause every idiot was complaining about dragon prices.

The way I see it, the only prices of anythign that should matter to anyone is rare prices. And even they are worthless - why pay s much for something that doesnt help?

Anyway, if prices are getting you down, just remember - those people got those items from somewhere. You go to that somewhere and get it for free

Why pay so much for something that doesnt help stats?
Its a prestigious thing. If someone sees you strutting around in a little hat worth 200m, they look up to you and automatically know you are one of Runescape's wealthiest merchants. And if you are that wealthy, there is nothing else to spend your cash on, so why not purchase something that will earn you a load of attention?

The thing about Party Hats (and all the other rares for that matter) is you can no longer get them for free, and there are only a limited number of them in existence. That's another reason why they are worth so much.

I think that the economy is so freaking high is beacue of the pker's and of the merchants... Mostly the merchants.

Full dragon gets a hell of a lot more attention that some crummy hat that you cant see unless you stare at the persons head, og, and it also costs a lot less. OH, and it ALSO gives a bonus.

But you are certainly right..Dragon provides a far greater stat bonus, is cheaper, and is readily available through drops.

The Runescape economy wont ever REALLY crash because its a game, but currently it is as close as possible to "crashing"

I mean, Santas for 5 mil? And the new treasure trails, boy oh boy...
In mem worlds full green dragonhide (g) is 200k, but in world one varrock, i have seen multiple people selling for around 2 mil!
