smithing takes too long to raise

Well Smithing is very hard. It takes loads of time and can get boring. Trick is to just hold on and keep going.

here's how i do it:

1. I go to the mining guild and mine 2k coal ore
2. I go to the dwarven mines and mine 1k iron ore
3. I go to Al Kharid and smith the ores into 1k steel bars
4. I teleport to Varrock and smith the 1k Steel Bars into 200 Steel Platebody's
5. I high alchemy the Steel Platebody's
6. I bank the 240k
7. I do it all over again or I train another skill

if it was easy to raise everyone would have a high level, better that it's hard to raise than easy to raise.

just buy steel bars from peeps and smith them into pl8s in varrock, great xp

Compared to the other skills, smithing is very slow and expensive to raise. Now, if all of the skills were as slow as smithing... Well, then the whole game would be futile and only the weirdos would stay long. So, yeah, they should make smithing faster.

And if it was to easy those that enjoy a challenge rather than a walk in the park would leave. I've been here 5 years, think i'd stay that long if it was so easily to level in? No cause i'd be bored.

Smithing doesnt take too long to raise, you're just slow ;-)

Diffrent players find different skills harder and easier to raise - why? because we like different things.

Some may find woodcutting hard to train, where as some (like myself) find it easy.

mine a lot of iron and coal and bank it then do that till you have like a lot and go smelt then go to varrock west bank and smith there because the anvils are close to the bank.(also go to al khrid for smelting,the bank is close to the furnace). You might want to mine in the mining guild if you have 60+ mining.

XD You complain that smithing is slow? It's your WAY of doing it is slow. Just mine coal and iron in partitions for 100 or 200 steel bars (200 or 400 coal and 100 or 200 iron), smelt them into bars, smith, repeat. I do that all the time.

it's not so much that smithing takes forever, it's getting the ores for smithing....because your not smithing if you're getting the ores, you're mining....but once you have all the ores it doesn't take too long to smith...you could say that it takes forever getting ready for smithing...

smithing is the best moneymaking skill specially when one get to runites. however, it takes a lot to get it up. however, it is not impossible to do and there are many ways to do it.

1) superheat item

it takes out the furnace time. just imagine, it took me 2 days to finish smelting 5k mith ores into bars. if furnace is unavoidable, al kharid is the best place to go.

2) buy bars

it costs around 55 mil to get to 85 smith. it only took me 27 mil on method one. yes it was slow but i'm rich.

iron got the most xp for smithing, steel is next but these are not good in terms of money. be prepared to lose money this way. rune and addy are profitable but slow in xp.

smithing is my favorite skill, it's one level below my combat level (68 smithing), not my highest skill, it's actualy my 4th highest i think.

my secret? i spent a month in members and went from 53 to 68 smithing in that month, but i also did a ton of other stuff.

crafting gauntlets to level 60, then go sit in the blast furnace. it's a ton of fun and great exp (i got 2 crafting levels this way too, from repairing the pipes).

just buy the coal and the mithral, and make mith platelegs or bodies and then high alch thme on the spot.

note: you do lose a little bit of money this way :roll:
