Grunge-tech signature

Again, using a tutorial, this time on greycobra.com

In fact, it's my recent SoTW entry, just with a tech brushed border. Because you can't edit posts on the SoTW section, I can't edit my entry. Hurried up, y'see.
Anyway, you can rate it :roll:

Um wheres the grunge? As far as I can tell theres none there. As far as the rest goes its pretty good. Text is a bit boring and not really techy so it kind of doesnt go but overall 7/10

I'm gonna have to agree with Crysala on this one. The colour is also a little monotonous. I think it'd be more eye-catching if your used one or two extra colours. I'd put my render over the lines in this one, too. 7.5/10 since it's well-made, but somethings just missing.

I've figured it out! That tech boarder is a "boarder", but your using it as the normal sig. Why is the render behind the boarder but the tech brushes ontop of it? Makes it look terrible and the grey lines in the middle? What were you thinking...When you make a sig off a tutorial, don't follow it completely, or if you end up doing something like brushes over border.... stick to the tutorial....

The tutorial I used. Maybe it will answer you. I've followed all of the steps in there (well, I didn't really get the border part actually). And it does say to use a dull color, Mushroom Queen, and it does say to put glow over your text, Crysala.

See their tech brushes go under the boarder though? Also that tutorial is ****, the outcome is bad and low quality.

Ew, yeah...the final sig DOES look bad in that tutorial. Following a tut word-for-word doesn't guarantee you a nice-looking sig. Especially since you could've made it look better than what they asked.

Well, I like it, I don't know... I'm kinda not a pro in this, so it's easier for me to follow a tutorial.
