Game Good, Forums Bad

who agrees that the game is good but runescape forums is HORRIBLE? the mods are bad, hypocrites, i got banned for flaming a flamer, well, you get the point. who agrees?

Runescape forums are bad because of the players in it. Most of the decent players who can have decent discussions - without saying stuff like "omgzz noob! You're one level lower than me in firemaking!11one!" - Go to fansite forums such as this one instead.

Its a lot slower, but I prefer this one to the official ones.

I think the problem with the mods is that they are usually in the mod's forum and not checking the non-mod one. Therefore they dont know whats happening there.

for selling you can't beat the offical forums, but everything else is very bad on it.

i use them for

a) buying yew longs
b) buyin arrows
c) laughing at how 80% of the forum cant read or write

I only use them if I need to buy something fast. Besides that they are not good. There are too many people on it so when you make a thread its pretty much already on the second page. The forums are just too crowded.

I only use the official forum for buying and selling, for everything else I use fansites.

I only use the Runescape Forums when I need a good laugh. They have the worst ideas on suggestions. "Oh hey add a staff that has all runes in it!!!" Bah, worst ideas I'll ever see.

The only thing I am thankful that we have the Official Forums for is for RSBANDBUpdate!'s rants section. Where would we be without it :roll:

Why should you get away with FLAMING a flamer? You're just as bad.

They do a very good job considering there's a lack of them. It's not easy to control thousands of stupid spoilt kids.

I use Official for two things;

Suggesting great ideas that never get noticed.

Selling/Buying things, but even so, I get told yew logs arent worth 300 each, theyre 500. =-\

After reading those posts, I couldn't help but just post what I do on the forums... Well, I don't go on them anymore (except for the time when I decide to give it a chance) But even so, I just hate the way people treat it. My home in that home was the stories forum... But they're ruining it all... Which is a main reason Zenma got rid of the X-Void. Where to go now to post my stories, I may never know.

By the way, it's NOT 80% of the people... it's 85.3% Same as the newb population increase after castlewars came out. (I may have made that number up, but It's near-true) Whenever I say hello nicely to someone, they just say utter trash. (I can only make out "You're a stupid noob!" and stuff like that which resembles newbies I studied in world 17 lumbridge.)
