He WILL get knocked down a rank. Why? Because I doubt even he plays 24/7, and in that time, players can advance. There is only one of him, and 999,999 other players who are willing to take that spot.
The way I see it, If I can get over 1400 total levels in a year, getting the last 600 (possibly more when/if more skills come out) isn't going to take me that long.
You just need a wad of cash, and a lot of patience.
It may seem like a long way now. But I promise you, there is at least one other person in runescape who is going for the top. I mean, why play a game if you dont want to be the best? For fun? Of course, but there are single player games for fun. Multiplayer games are based on BEATING everyone else.
I for one dont like losing. And I am sure you dont either. Look at it this way. You have LOST to zezima, and everyone else above your rank.

Okay, you've got some major fallacies in there. First you can never in face lose in runescape because you're missing an end. Sports teams only lose when the game is over and they are behind. Since runescape never ends you cannot in fact lose you can only be losing or interms of the derivitive of that statement gaining or losing ground on the leader.
Now on to why no one will likely ever knock Zezima off. First, just because someone wants to pass Zezima and currently has the time doesn't mean that they can keep the pace or the gumption to take him over. Second, not only do they have to catch the current Zezima, but also the Zezima playing two years from now. Yes that includes the 1.8 million xp he is gaining a day and all the new skills that have been added in that time. Third, Zezima does almost play 24/7. If you keep track of his xp...it rarely stops. Fourth, if it is so easy and there are so many people who can do it...then why aren't they lining up and getting lvl 2079?
Now comes the question "Why do I care?" Well, I'm sitting here making 10k rune ess into 50k air runes...and I'm really bored and need something to argue about. That is about the extent to which I care.
theres a slight difference, if he went down to number 5. Id be happy at number 4. But then again, I wouldnt like being beaten by the current number 1. So yeah. I guess I do want to be number one.
