But you wouldnt GET points if it was spam, whether or not it was in the spam forum, the only people who can give you points are registered users other than the post maker.

There should be a shop but you should have to spend REAL money for the stuff like mouse pads, T - shirts etc. You could use cafepress.com for everything you just put your logo up on the stuff and you get a fraction of the money when someone buys something (If that makes sense)

It a good idea!! But stealing points no i don't find that a good idea. Its too easy then. But you can send point to a friend. I find that that a good idea is.

Okay, I've just been to a website that has forums, and a currency system that allows users of the site to 'buy' items such as signatures for posts, avatars, and other things like acess to particular pages of their site.

This works in a way that users of the site take quizzes, if they score over 50%, they start to recieve points for doing so.

For example;

There is a Sonic the Hedgehog quiz.

The questions in it are based around the games, and television shows.

The questions are not 'easy', unless you are quite knowledgable about the Sonic games and series.

If you scored 50%, you would get 50 points for passing.

If you scored 100%, you would get 50 points for passing, plus an extra 50 for each 1% over the pass %. You also got 10 more points for getting 100%.

These points are 'tradable' with other users of the site.


rsbandb could use such a system instead of post count.

This would mean no spam, and users wouldnt be able to click anything in the quizzes to just get a few points.

Of course, there is a downside, and of course, there is always a downside to everything. These quizzes have got to be moderated before they are put on the 'quiz page'. For if they werent, a user could set questions such as "what is 1+1" and so forth.

Seeing as that would be a lot of work, I can understand fully why some users may not want to participate in such a thing. As from some posts in this particular thread, I have gotten the impression that moderating things such as 'how useful a post is' to be a lot of hard work.

Anyways, thats just another Idea that could fall into this suggestion, so I thought I would post here instead of a new thread.

I'd rather have a member rating system than this.
