Title speaks for itself really, if you could change anything thing in runescape, what would it be? Why would it be that? and What would you change it to?

I would change;

Smithing exp in comparison to mining. I think that it is far too low for the amount of exp you get from the combined exp of mining for example, one rune ore and 8 coal. I would change it so that the combined exp of mining one bar and smithing one bar (furnace and anvil) to be the same.


I would also change the amount of magic trees in Runescape, there isnt many, and they are very usually overcrowded with at times, 20-30 people on one tree. I would 'plant' another 5 or 6 in places around runescape, such as near the Magic Guild.

and also i would change how much cash newbies get in their bank when they first join to like 1k or something because no wonder they beg for money all the time...
and
I think that the higher level you are the faster you can mine,cut wood,and fish

Actually, that is the case atm. *-) with a few exceptions - most ores above coal, magic trees, not sure on sharks yet.

I agree with the money thing, although, I would think 1k is slightly too high. perhaps 750gp would be better.

Yeah 750gp would be a more reasonable amount for a noob..I hope they're smart enough not to spend it all on feathers or something stupid..

Only thing I would change would be to give the whip a strength option. It would make the whip worth a lot more, which would make the market a little crazy, but it would make having a whip a lot more useful.

There's only one thing I can think of that I would change, the stats of Gold Decorative armour from Castle Wars. It really needs to be upgraded to Rune, it's not exactly easy to obtain..

Any quest, task or whatnot that "requires a friend" to complete.

I'm sorry but this is Runescape, most people who play this game DONT WANT to help other people or even play together. Add to the fact the whole game is very low key on anything to do with team-play and the fact that 90% of the population have no understanding of "team-work" and you have some frustrated people...

Hero's quest still remains a bit headache because of it.

I'd also change all the dumb requirements for ANYTHING regarding going into the wild to do, from fetching a stupid item that is worthless to just going to the **** wild in the first place. For several reasons 1) Some people don't like the wild. 2) Forcing people to go to the wild isn't going to make the wild "scary" or more "hazardous" it's just going to make it "annoying" exactly what Jagex don't want...

I'd also make agility have a combat oriented point. I'm not a fan of jagex's explanation that "no one ever misses in battle the 0's represent a hit that was too weak to damage them" Puh lease you're telling me a 99 strength guy would hit a man so weakly three times when he's trying to kill the **** guy? I didn't think so. I'd make it that defence REDUCES damage taken while Agility increases chance of a 0 appearing to indicate a "dodge"..

I don't exactly know what I'd do about this, but why is it that some skills you can only make a maximum of ten, but others you can do all 28 (with make x) it should be one way or the other. If you've got 28 fish you can cook them all but if you you've got 28 silver bars you can only make ten [tiaras] at a time? :shock: Anyway, I'd make it one way (make x of course) or the other instead of making all the skills different.

i would chance the mining smith xp takes way to long compared to other skills i would also change how that mage trees dont get faster with lvls

Thats not actually true, if you go to a furnace you and make all 28 bars, even silver ones.

I would also change the mining and smithing exp, its a major rip off in the ways of time spent versus experience gained. Another thing I would change is the wildy, or at least some of its combat zones. Wildy is player on player combat everywhere but I think some of the more important places like Rune Rocks shouldnt be, some people work hard getting Rune only to log and die with it all..yep real helpful Jagex :roll:

I'd bring back thrandor (not sure if that's the exact name, its the man that switched skirts to legs and legs to skirts).

Also I'd change it back to 3 rounds and run in single area and keep it the same in multi in the wildy.
