Stop Censoring?

the censor unfortunately is needed..however i do think they should FIX it. go through their censor logs of what its told to block out and remove the useless stuff like saying a level in a sentence and it comes up filled with stars. not only is it annoying but its is pointless too. if people want to say something bad enough they will figure out a way anyway. if someone wanted to say the f word bad enough they could just type it in 1 letter per line..its not that hard to get around. at the end of the day Jagex dont care so theres no point in complaining/suggesting/commenting about it because it wont change, its there to stay

Anoying...

I rarely curse anyone, and if I want to make sure they know what I'm saying then thre is some way around like some1 said before. But thats not what it is annoying about it. I know there is a combination of 4 digit numbers that dosent let you say. Also you cant say "natures" (if I'm correct or something like that). It just dosent make any sence. You know what it is for example: Selling 1200k iron arrows, and you have to say selling 1200,000gp iron arrows. And you have to say it alot of times. It is just pointless.

I dont say to take away the censor. But to FIX it.

Stop Complaining, Jagex aren't going to fix their Language Filter because it doesn't need to be fixed. While it can get quite annoying, they feel no need to fix it, because it is fine now. They aren't getting many complaints, and they aren't losing players from it. And besides, there is always a way around something you want to say. You just have to find it.

The Language Filter doesn't need to change.

And going slightly off topic, about the "parents dying if their children say the word 'crud'", well, they probably wouldn't, but for slightly more serious things, then they could. And I know this because my friend's 6 year old brother plays Runescape.

1230 is censored because of the term:

13itch, which is bad, so people started to use: 12itch, which was what your name was mistaken for.

i live in Lithuania and in its language is full words of letters "kok" and so on
but i dont think Jagex must do anything. its good how it is.

Same here when I try to speak Russian. Jagex really does not like the word, "spasibo" (thank you). :lol:

It actually could use a few adjustments becuase it is going a little bit far on what to allow and what to not allow. The only thing is Jagex isn't going to change it. There will never be a chance of the censor being taken away.

You should have an option, where you can set the filtering. By default it would be on high, but as the user you can change to medium or off. Most games (GW or WoW) allow that.
