Remove the links from the quote. It's against the rules to post links of that nature.

there are millions of fake e-mails going around. And it's sad to hear that the "not so much experienced"-players sometimes fall for the scams..

But me mental is true you must never, never post a link to a scamming site.

The email about the fake login page was sent to me, and I also got that one you showed about autominers, etc.:

From: Jagex <support@jagex.com> [FAKE EMAIL, I tried to send them something back. :P]
Subject: Your player status updated
Date: Oct 31 2005 03:59

Greetings, adventurer!

You have been chosen by Jagex Staff moderators for the role due to your past record in the game, your RuneScape character have chance to be changed to a Player Moderator!
You are trusted by the Jagex staff and so can be equally trusted by you. After you will accept your new status you will have Silver Crown next to your name.

To accept your Player Moderator status and read new rules please login to your account and follow the instructions.

Sincerely, Mod Ash
Jagex Mod

And the other one is exactly as you said it... although it claims to be something else, not "Stupid Town". But I'm guessing you, or a mod changed that. I won't display the name here unless you want me to and it is OK'ed by a mod.

i think that the person sending the "scammer" e-mails is someone that goes to this site and gets e-mail adresses from their profile...but that's just one thought

(heh, 69 posts  )

I'm pretty sure it probably is someone on this site - I don't post on any other specific Runescape Forums.

Keep on the lookout guys.
