i think rsc started in 2001 but i may be wrong

I dont think so,I started in 2001 when I was like 13 and my friend introduced it to me so it most likely cant be

It started in 2000 which was a beta test and 2001 was the official RSC like Rs2 beta lasted for 3 months or so.

umm no. it didnt.. the whole thing started jan.. 1...2001 and the beta started.. nov 2003...Runescape beta made on runescape 1. altrough i guess the beta testing started long b4.. but idk they always talked about it and never really did it. (well untill nov 2003)

I think it was 2000 because back when I started in 2001 it had a © 2000 on it.

It depends what you mean by made I guess.

It was made as in developed from 1998-2001. There were a few beta tests in this period.
Runescape (Runescape Classic) was released January 5th 2001.

Wasn't it running text-based as Devious MUD back in like '98 before Andrew started coding it as a graphics-based game? Or is that just bad rumor I've heard?
