Just when we thought the Diablo III launch drama was over Blizzard is raided by the Korean Fair Trade Commission.

Players who had difficulty logging into the game contacted the FTC after being denied refunds when attempting to return it. Blizzard claims that this refusal is due to a strict “no refunds” policy on used products.

After receiving “many complaints” from customers that Blizzard regarding the refusal, the FTC has launched an investigation. In an effort to gather evidence to determine if Blizzard has violated Korean Law, they have seized documents and evidence that they will sort through in an effort to determine if Blizzard has violated Korea’s electronic and commercial contracts law.

At present, Blizzard is still refusing to refund customers, but has said they will increase server capacity.

should have waited another month of testing.

The non-refund is a little harsh especially if you can't play the game in the first place. I'm sure they'll sort this all out.

Don't really know why Korea is so angry considering their server has had the MOST uptime since launch. Perhaps gold farmers are annoyed they can't play on their customer's servers? (US)

Not sure what the Korean Government can do though. Ban Blizzard from selling products there? Won't hurt Blizzard as much as it will hurt/annoy the people who won't be allowed to play Blizzard games.

It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Can't think of how they'll win tbh. Any competent judge (or jury depending on local trial laws - we don't have civil disputes tried by jury in the UK) will realise any digital game will have technical poblems especially so soon after release. I just hope that they don't win, actually. It'd be devastating for the game. :/

Good. I hope Bizz has to cough up a few milion. Moronic I'm locked out of my single player beause there too cheap to run enough servers to cover the load. Theres no excuse for it. They run the largest MMO in the world and they insisted upon it being online only. AND it's been 2-3 weeks since launch we still shouldn't be having these problems. They should of had there **** together from day 1.

With that said you can get a refund if your living in the UK. Tis the law and all.
