I'd like to hunt down someone who bought all those stupid **** guitars and slap them round the face with them.

Discuss what you will do now this terrible series has died a bloody death. Call of duty is next.

Yes but when you ***** the series out a whopping 8 times in a year even the die hard plastic hero fans start to get fed up. It's not sold well for a year or so.

I can't tell if this is good news or not? Im a huge fan of the genre and started back with Guitar Hero III, when they didn't release 6 games a year. But then I moved on to rock band and stuck with it ever since. As long that doesnt go down Im happy

Eh. It only takes one bad year for a developer to potentially go under. If they keep cutting back on games, there won't be much left of Activision. Those were some pretty big cash cows for them. Good thing they still have a couple.

Screw Guitar Hero, I was looking forward to seeing True Crime. I really liked the previous installments and thought a reboot would be interesting to see.

Im with ranging =/ i bought all the games and love playing them when im not playing runescape. Im not perfect at them so i always get a new high score on some song ^.^ its so addicting and will live on as long as i keep the cd's in good condition.

yah I've always preferred rockband anyway...Even though I don't own either. From my experiences at friends houses. Rockband just feeled like the better game.

good it finally went the way it's predecessor dance dance revolution did.
was already sick of hearing of new ones ever b4 it went to every month a different one being advertised.
and yea rock band wont be to far behind it.

Guitar Hero III was awesome, but I've preferred Rock Band over the newer ones. Oh well. I don't really see what they can do with Rock Band either to improve it. It's still great for parties though XD

o.o ddr rocks!!!!! ive mastered alot of the dances and its still great doing different things with it to make it look so easy haha

didnt even realize they went out >.< mann these are the games i love cause they make you get up and do something. Really hope wii doesnt "follow" all of them and go "out of business"

think im gonna invite a few friends over to play some DDR with me... i bought these mats for $500 a peice and they've lasted through all of my crazy dancing.

I'm strongly against games that make me "get up and do something". If i wanted that I'd take up a sport.

Don't even buy wii games that involve anything more than slight movement of my hand. And even that's annoying and unresponsive compared to a button press.

Anywho i think rockband will be fine. Harmonix is in control of it's own future since they got sold and they'll take better care of there brand than the likes of activision. I stick by what I'm saying: Call of duty is next.

They shut down studios for guitar hero and opened another for call of duty. They've got a total of 3 call of dutys being made and there hoping to ship them next year (or this year? one or the other) i have no idea who wants 3 shooters from the same franchise in a year.

It's just to make a quick buck again. The amount of studios running for COD pretty much means they need to earn back way more than your usual game. All this **** they was going on about a year back about game development going up was ******* it's called you have 5 studios working on 1 game. So the moment it slips in sales (and it will do!) you'll see this **** repeated.

Meh. Good riddance. It was fun for awhile, but they ****** it out until it was a shallow husk of its former glory. The same thing is happening to Call of Duty.
