It works like this:
A person owning an Xbox will say the xbox is the best.
A person that has a ps3 will say the ps3 owns hard.
Etcetera, Etcetera, Etcetera.
Fanboys just try to justify the money they've wasted.
Mmm...I think that's a little general. Just cause you own one game system doesn't always mean it's your favorite (although, usually it does because you wouldn't have bought it otherwise probably). What about people who own more than one? Which one do you pick? I know people who have a couple of those. They enjoy all of them. But anyways.
I'm a PC gamer myself. I grew up without a game system and my parents wouldn't let me have one. I did get to do a little N64 growing up, though, and think it's either the greatest or one of the greatest game systems in it's context. But, I think PC gaming is much better. As an advantage, you can have more controls to do things. Also, you can do other things on a PC you can't really do on other platforms such as text in game and run other programs if you are waiting or have another reason to be afk in game. In general, the PC also has a much greater audience. Many people have a computer for one reason or another. Since you already have it, you don't have to buy a costly game system in order to play games. Not all games are available for PC, but most are which means you can play just about anything that you can also play on any other game system. The PC seems much more versatile and effecting for game playing than other game systems, but that's just an opinion. But I'm sure that if you played it as much as I do, you'd be inclined to feel the same way.
