I nominate Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for a new PC Gaming game.
We can't have a dedicated server, but so what? We usually just crash another server when we play other games, so why not here?

To be fair, they're teammates who are lousy, who are often better replaced with Rsbandb members

BF:BC2 is something we can look into, supposing enough people have BC2.

LoL looks like an MMO, so I doubt we'd get a lot of interest in it for a weekly event. I haven't played it, and am not sure if I would start if I had to level up a bunch before having an event.

You don't need to level an account to play LoL, every game starts with teams being on an equal playing field (level 1). That being said, the learning curve is steep and some members would get thrashed and have an awful time. You also tend to need 10 or 6 people to have a good game.

You could perhaps attempt to setup another event at another time
I am pretty sure there are several people in the community that play LoL

Since sometime today will theoretically be the conversion of Team Fortress 2's content to the new Steam Pipe format (see this postfor info), there may be issues with tonight's weekly event.

Please try to launch TF2 an hour early, and see if it needs to convert to the new format. Or, right click on TF2 and select Properties => Local Files => Verify Integrity of Game Cache. This should force the game to upgrade.

Hopefully we'll have the server going by the time this occurs, but if not, be in the RSBandB Steam group chat or logged into Mumble and on our server, and I'll have more information. We may need to use a different server or different game entirely if people are having too many issues tonight.

As a new possible game, perhaps we could do L4D 1 or 2? I know it's 4 player only but we could do a level race if we got at least 5 people. If we had 4, play one game together, if we got 5+ we could do 2:3 or the likes in different games with computers filling the remaining slots on each team. Would be quite fun when we had 8 show up.
We could do fastest completion and/or most kills.

Of course it is a team game and we would be trying to keep each other alive instead of killing each other. Change of scenery from the other options.

Anyone want to add their input on this? I think it'd be fun. Who doesn't like killing mindless zombies?
