PC Gaming - Deprecated 2009-14 - [Run By: Pfkninenines]

Well, I've got it set up to show for the next week, so barring the Steam Community service going down, you should get notified of the event.

We ended up starting off in the Rsbandb server, and transitioned into a Valve server due to lack of people there. Once we had ~7-8 people on Mumble (hint: join Mumble around starting time, and you'll know what's up ), we transitioned back to the Rsbandb server for the remaining time.

Just a heads-up to all members who are following this thread..

April 30th is the three-year anniversary of the start of the PC Gaming Event as we know it today. While nothing is set in stone at this point, something special may end up being planned for the normal gaming night on the 30th. This may include special prizes, different games / gamemodes, special guests, weird server-side mods, or perhaps something different entirely.

A huge thanks to Mike and Shane, without whom we'd be lacking severs and the general ability to have PC Gaming Night each week. Don't forget that you can help by donating to Rsbandb to ensure the gaming servers as well as the general Rsbandb site and all of the features (RuneWire, Interactive Map, House Planner, Skill Calculators, etc) stay up and running.

Oh, and don't think I've forgotten you, Community of Rsbandb. Without you showing up every week, I'd have a pretty pathetic Monday night by myself on the server!

Just a heads-up to people watching the thread:

The Steam Summer Sale will likely start ~June 28th and run for 10 days. When this occurs, it'd be nice to pick up a few games for cheap, specifically CS:S. Also note, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be released this fall and cost $15 on day one. I'd like to consider introducing that to the weekly rotation, if for nothing else than it will already contain GunGame and a few other gamemodes that were popular as addons in CS:S. This will cut down on potential updating issues for Shane and Mike, meaning it will be a very easy game to keep running. Plus, $15 isn't too terrible for a freshly released game from a A rated publisher.

So, when the sale starts, I'll try to send out a message when CS:S shows up for cheap. All Valve games will likely be reduced by 50% anyway, but 75% or so would be great.

They've not started yet for whatever reason. Some are believing it's because Valve can't count to three (this would be the third Summer sale...), but no real reason as of yet. It's likely going to happen fairly soon, but a specific date isn't known at this time.

It's not a daily deal - Don't purchase it until the last day! It'll likely reach $5 on a daily-deal, and if not, it'll still be the same price on the last day of the sale.

Only good daily deal today is MW3.

Could you grab the maps / give me a link for download? I'll check them out.
