One who is applying for the tech writer position must have an interest and passion in technology. They must be willing to dabble in new software experiences and give reviews on these new pieces of software. They must also be able to report breaking tech stories if they ever should happen. A tech writer must also be familiar with Windows. Experience with Linux or Mac OS is also preferred but not required.
You would be writing at least one, maybe two (depending on how many people get hired) articles per month. So a strong love of technology would be to the benefit of the position.
