So, ya, if you haven't already noticed like I have, the way it works is that when you start to type something, Google will try to fill in the blank. Doesn't sound that different from the way it's been, but it is. Now, when you start typing, you instantly go to search results that match the letters you have typed in so far. Don't know how great this will be, but it looks alright on the outside. I mean, Google as a company is focused on the search engine and improving it. Wonder if people be receptive and pick up on this? or whether everyone will want to switch to Bing or some other search engine. I personally still love Google and wouldn't change it for the world. I might start up an off topic thread about search engines and how we really take for granted something that does a lot of work for us to make our lives easier.

Yeah..i struggle to see the point. I don't find myself wishing i didn't have to waste 2 seconds of my life typing in a search.

Doubt I'll bother with it.

It's quite nice actually. Loads fast, and you can find what you want pretty quick. Just the next step past the suggested search, and saves you from pressing enter when you're done with your query.

I think it could go both ways. If you're typing something obvious, like "Facebook", I could see how that would be kind of useful (even though it's easier to use the address bar/bookmark). On the other hand, if you're looking for something completely obscure, it would be extremely annoying.

I tried many search engines in the past and found Google to give the most relevant results to what I was searching for, consistently. It's just built better than other engines.

Engadget says YouTube has this functionality as well, in testing.
Plays videos while you type, picks quality for you.

I gotta say, it might get a bit annoying at first, but YouTube is YouTube, I'll be able to find things with it I wouldn't have thought I would in the first place.

i...hate...this, i typed something and it started pulling up results that had absolutely nothing to do with my search. i was searching for cooking xp for swordfish and it started bringing up fishing trips on Lake Ontario -.-
