So I guess Youtube has finally extended the allowed time for videos from 10 minutes to 15 minutes. Not sure how much that will help, but I suppose a 50% increase in content is helpful. Granted, it still has to meet the 100 MB limit, but that's just a technicality. Guess this means people really can get their 15 minutes of fame on Youtube now, although most memes and virals are less than 5 minutes usually. Thoughts???

Well I don't watch much on YT besides MVs but those people who upload TV show episodes and movies will be happy about this new change provided they can bypass the copyright. And maybe those RS players who upload videos of them playing RS or something.

At least there can be less parts to large series now.

However, how did this happen? This was also before the new 15-minute limit.

You can get permission, and/or have special account privileges that allow you to upload very long videos. Didn't think it was too common for normal people though.

Agreed. 5 minutes increase is still a pretty small change, but considering the user database is so big, I understand why they can't raise the cap even more.
