I guess this qualifies as a photo manipulation?
Dark-ish border so you may want to look at it on a white background.

I clicked on this topic expecting to find... well - anything but this, to be frank. Well done, I think that you've achieved something by actually changing the image substantially rather than (like certain others) editing the image in a very discrete way which would remove the point of doing a photo manipulation in the first place.

On the sheer principle of not sounding conflicted, I find myself somewhat reluctant to criticise in this way but I feel you have done too much to the stock. I'm sorry if I'm confusing you, it's a great thing you've started at this end of the stick but I can barely distinguish the original stock in the signature. My only criticism is to change the image in such a way in which it can be classed as a different image while still allowing a comparison to be made. However, this is not to suggest you simply change the colour levels, brightness/contrast or clone parts of the image over each other. That would just be silly.

Hope this helps.

I've seen this tutorial somewhere, I must say you followed it exactly.

7/10 for prettiness.

2/10 for effort.

Same stock, same everything honestly. I'll look around, see if I can find it.

I'm not accusing you of anything, other than that there is no effort put into this whatsoever due to an exact tutorial copy. Although I really cant accuse you atm, due to me deleting my bookmarks recently.

7/10.

I like the completed image but it's too light to tell it's a city anymore.

Not too sure about the text. I'm not sure that 'the city is so pretty' are the right words to describe it. I think it's great but it's not pretty imo. More abstract.

I believe Al3X is quoting a song by Hollywood Undead, entitled "City", and during the song they say "The city is so pretty, would you like to burn it with me?". Just saying I think he is, not that he is.

The signature, IMO, is not pretty, it's too bright to see the actual stock, but it looks good for your first photomanip.

Ya, actually I was quoting it.

i was going to make it more of a dark red and have the burn it with me part faded into it but couldn't accomplish that too well :/
