[Tutorial] Blender Tutorial (Request)

I downloaded Blender a few months ago, and have been messing around on it every now and then. I'm obviously not very skilled at it and would like to request a tutorial on how to use the basic functions of it. (For example like texturing, coloring, special effects and other stuff if any of that is possible)

I've "YouTube'd" blender tuts but they are horrible quality and quite vague.

If anyone could make me a basic little tut that would be great thanks.

as for tutorials, I'd say look some up on websites like pixel2life or google some, I'm sure you'll find something that your looking for.
