Most reasonable way to level-up in ranged F2p

I've always HATED the ranged skill, but now it's almost so far behind my other skills it's embarrasing. So what's the most reasonable way to train it in f2p? And by that I mean by expense, not time.

I would suggest using at least steel arrows on Moss Giants, or Lesser Demons. Iron arrows take far too long to get a level, going from what I did when I went from level 66-70.

If you take a bunch of arrows and some high alch stuff, you can hide behind the rocks on Crandor Isle, and range the lessers from safety. You can stay there for quite a while, as long as you have a quiet world. No food needed, although it's always useful to take some, or a teleport in case you get in trouble. Good luck!

hmm your range is 50. do what king kulla said till 60. then at 60-70 go for ankou. ill add a picture of the safespot if you take my advice. in ankou's you use mithril arrows and you gain about 60k xp/hour. And you pretty much gain double the money you spent on arrows. ex. 1k mithril used - you earn about 90kgp.

at 70 you can either keep doing ankous or range the cockroach workers (lvl 56?) in the basement. (ill get a screen shot of that too) workers also use mithril arrows and you'll gain the same money or more as u did from ankou. I did that till 83 then became members to get 99.

gl range is great if you give it a chance.

As a non-member I used iron arrows on the lesser demons in the Karamja Volcano. I remember that was decent xp and I would always leave with a few rune medium helms. If you want to get some serious experience you should bring 3-4k iron arrows and pick them up after each kill. Remember to stay in a safe spot so you don't die :wink:

What gives the bigger profit, lesser demons or moss giants?

Lesser demons give better drops except moss giants drop big bones and demons drop ashes. But you'll get 2-3 rune med helms every time you finish a trip at the demons, so yeah.

well i think there is a lesser demon upstairs in the wizards tower and it is behind bars
so just bring tele grab and grab the good drops and your arrows

Better to do the ones on Crandor, there is multiple safe spots, and 2 demons to work with. Go on to the actualy island itself, not inside the volcano.

Btw, I have 3k iron arrows right now. If I started training range, should I use those up first and then start using steel or just stick with iron or steel only?

Try to sell the iron arrows at grand exchange for normal price, and if they won't, use them. But I would try to get steel as much as possible.

By the way, it's pretty amazing that you've been pushed off the highscores with your level. I've only got about 1k experience more than #2 mil. but I'm 31.000 ranks from the bottom. I guess 50 is a pretty common ranged level.

Steel arrows are way better to use than Iron. Yeah, they cost a bit more, but the time saved is makes it more worthwhile.

Of course, if you have a bunch of iron arrows, you could always just use them, it'll just take a bit longer.
