Mining Question

Alright, I want to know the best way to train to 85 mining in f2p (profit not really in mind and starting from level 71). Powermining iron seems like the best so far (in Al-Kharid). Are there any other ways of better training to 85 mining? Thoughts?

I say just go right ahead to the guild, it will be very boring but just keep minning coal at the guild and bank in falador.

He said he doesn't want profit, so coal would be a bad idea. Power mining Iron is the fastest way to gain Mining experience in F2P, that's all there is to it. Location probably doesn't really matter if you're 1 hitting Iron anyway, so just choose wherever you like. I personally like the Varrock east mines because there are 3 rocks right next to eachother and I never run out of energy.

^ In Al-Kharid Chasm there's those 3 rocks that can all be mined from the same spot, so if you can find an empty world there is better.

There are rarely any open spots in f2p worlds though in Al-Kharid. So try the Varrock east one out. It should be just as good or better than the one in Al-Kharid. Drop the iron ores as you go along.

Well, if coal was the best way to go I might as well bank it. I mean, I'd like to get there the fastest way, but if coal is faster, than I might as well bank the coal. The only thing that concerns me about banking and making a profit off a skill is that it slows you down, whether considerably or not. So I suppose if I'll be mining coal in the guild, I might consider the profit anyway since it is close and coal is a good commodity.

Those are no longer there. If you are talking about the ones to the north, they are no longer configured that way. Jagex killed that spot! #-o

That is basically what you want to do. As soon as you hit 80, you will be rich because you'll be mining coal. I suppose they will come fast because of a high level.

From expierience i would say power mine the iron until you get to 80 or higher. Then i would do adamanite if possible. You can also do rune(bad idea) or mithril(better idea). Hope i helped you.

Actually they removed that spot I believe. There are now 2 rocks there and you've to walk for the third. Unless I remember incorrectly.

What actually does help is finding 2 iron rocks you can mine without moving and go to a busy world. You might get some competition but on the other hand the ores do spawn faster.

I also found out from my friend today best place to mine iron ore is Yanille because of the bank and many rocks. I don't mine there but my friend does so i don't know if it is a very good spot.
