Which full void is best?

Actually, this is a question i'm interested in. I am PCing right now, go get full void. Range will be first, since that's the skill i'm training. But I also want to get the mage staff and helm.

I don't want to side track your question, but maybe I can ask a rider that folks can answer too. And that is, how does void compare to the other alternatives. For example, full range void vs black dhide, gloves, ranger helm, etc. Or full mage void vs blue mage or split bark.

I say range is the best aswell.

For mage and melee you have much better armours than the pest control ones.

I've got Melee and Range, though Range is definitively the one to get. It is better than other methods I've used, and definitely worth the part-day to get the set.

Update from me. I've had a few days to try out my full void range outside of pest control. I like it.

I tried collecting statistics (in a spreadsheet) on hits. Was going to get some data while fighting black dragons. Was happily entering hits when I was auto logged off. (My spreadsheet window was active and my RS window timed out.)

I screamed.

I logged back in. Somehow, I hadn't died. Found myself tucked away in a corner, with low hit points.

I let out a sigh of relief, promised to go to church from now on, and headed for the bank and some food.

It really depends on you skills cos range aint gonna be best if your a mage pure.. shouldnt the question be something like..." whats the best in comparison to other armours of its type" ... just thought i should say

.... but range is my favourite (just because im a ranger).

i wouldn't get melee void as theres amulets like salve wich does even better % to your att and str i would go for ranged or mage void probs range one as i am ranger meself. Melee void is not better than a good set of str boosting equip, ranged void it's prety good as it's def bonuses arent like in term of 1-30, mage void probs not worth it as a bigger % in magic is just accuracy.

To me, the range and melee are good. The Range really helps you get to 99 faster and the melee helps hit better.

Put down range and mage. Both look pretty cool. The melee ones are a bit too popular now.

Range is very helpfull when training on monsters such as yaks which barely hit anyway. Also the mage staff is excelent because you can autocast claws of guthix which is a great advantage for monsters such as dk's. The mele is also very good for killing the apes on ape atoll becauseyour praing a high defence bonus is not necesssary meaning it gives you a great advantage.
