My noob self doesnt have a very good opinion seeing as I'm level 75. I would range black or iron/bronze. I've had pretty decent success ranging green drags.

You're level 72

Lol, I'd say thats pretty close but not quite.

Ranging black/iron/bronze is quite different from green drags seeing they have a much stronger defence. Black dragons seem the best to range, for me anyways, so you could try that out in the evil chicken's lair.

i thought a visage could be obtained from any dragon

No lol. Only black dragons, iron dragons, steel dragons, king black dragon can drop a visage.

Black dragons are the easiest and are known for the highest drop rate. You can safe spot them also.

Correction, You can also get a visage from Skeletal Wyverns and they have the best drop rate for dropping a visage. Couple of my friends have gotten visages and most of them got them from skeletal wyverns. Now they are hard to kill but once you become unaggressive, there is a safe spot where you can kill them and not take any damage. So think about that.

I would just use melee(mellee?) and pray pots. Visages are very unlikely fyi

Well, King Black Dragon has a high drop rate of them, he drops them the most. Skeletal Wyverns are hard to kill, but they drop them more often than blacks. I killed blacks for awhile, ranging, made a lot of money, not a visage.
