I don't know how to give you any tips about that though.
I'd say all fun items that have a destroy option, are easily replaces and that you hardly use, get rid of those.
Also items that you don't see yourself needing in the future, dispose of those too.
Try to max out your costume room as well, that has helped a lot for me.
