this is suppose to be the 2012 london olympic mascot. the logo was bad now this... wth?

Ooo i'm looking forward to this. Clearly they've decided to convert the Olympics from a celebration of the world's athletes to a low budget Nick Jr. cartoon.

Very weird mascots if you ask me. But alot of decision probably went into designing them, so they can't be that bad......Can they?

They're supposed to be two drops of steel from a steelworks in Northern England. And their names (Wenlock and Mandeville) are after places, one which held a forerunner to the Olympics games and the other which held the first ever Paralympic games.

I just heard on the news over here in australia a couple of hours ago (my time), that some school students in england helped with the design of the characters. They didn't say which students gave the names, though.
