There's a lot of truth to what italy quoted. It does depend on what you like more when it comes to manga. I don't read it at all, but I have in the past a couple times and watch the shows even more often. I personally like shows with action and fighting. That can easily translate over into the book as well, too. For me, I personally like Full Metal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell, Deathnote, Bleach, Naruto, any Gundam (but there are better ones than others), etc. I could go on a bit longer, but I'll stop at that. Again, it really depends on what interests you. Those mangas have quite a bit of action, but some are also more serious and dramatic than others. Any of the ones I listed are pretty good imo, but in the end, it's all up to you. And don't forget, manga books are started from the back in English. Make sure you pick up on that.
