Not the biggest fan of Reddit, tried using it for a bit. I really just never got into it like many of my friends have.

Better then Digg. Sad what happened, but not really.

It's a nice place from what I've seen so far.

Digg: Bitter and annoyed graph loving people
Reddit: Nice people, just don't get on there bad side
9gag: Haven't been there but from I gather, imitators and wannabe's
4chan: Angry get off my lawn porn loving freaks that will kill you, almost literally.

And there is another place I cant remember the name, same idea as said previous 4. But just really girly posts about what all these women like, weddings and so fourth.

Reddit is the best of the social "share random stuff with random people" websites. I really like the subreddits /r/Lifeprotips, and /r/Runescape sometimes is decent, too.

No, it's more of the whole homepage being one big bulletin board and people just post what they like. The community just happens to mostly girls, I figure anyways.

I think thats what happened to Digg, the community. The redesign few times over didn't help any either.

I spent a lot of time on Digg until the dreaded update of 2010. Never would have checked Reddit out if they'd just left it alone.
