Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.

Even though I enjoy hating on Apple it really sucks that Steve Jobs died.

I knew he was sick, but I didn't realise it was that bad. Rest in peace, Steve!

Tim Cook will continue to run Apple as close to Steve's vision as possible. They'll still do quite well for at least 5-10 years, but at that point in the tech industry, it's all hard to predict.

Sorry to see such a visionary die. A mere six weeks after resigning.. He held on to the very end.

he doesn't even deserve to die though. seems it was prostate cancer. makes me wonder if he was eating too much steak

It was pancreatic cancer. Steve Jobs was a great guy up until recently, when they wanted to make everything closed and proprietary.

Regardless of whether you love/like/hate or are indifferent to the products apple has put out on the market, I think we all have to agree with something Apple allegedly said in a British newspaper yesterday (I say allegedly because it was the Sun. XD) - "The world is immeasurably better because of him."
