What is particularly disgusting is how much attention she has been getting in the media and on social networking sites such as Twitter compared to the Norweigan twin attacks. Honestly you'd have thought nothing had happened in Norway.
Well, the reason it's all over social media is because Amy Winehouse is far less personal to people. It's way easier to say "R.I.P. Amy Winehouse" than "Lost my son in the recent shooting" in a Twitter message or Facebook post. The point you're making is still valid, though.
To be honest, this isn't surprising in any way. She had a good voice, shame it's gone to waste. I'm sure the publicity she gets from being in the 27 club and everything will sell a decent amount of posthumous merchandise and records.
