I still don't quite understand what goes through people's minds on the receiving end. What? Did this guy "Sweet Talk" this girl on World of Warcraft, using text? The fact that this girl even bothered to waste her time to even leave her house and set up a meeting with this man makes me think that the parents should be somehow disciplined.

Sorry, it just blows my mind that this happens so often.

I completely agree Eric, anyone who is so moronic to be chatted up over a video game (MSN or whatever is a bit more reasonable to see why because you can put pictures and webcam on) and then go out and meet them. Absurd, no-one in their right mind would.

Ok, I think that this raises the issue of what parents allow/dis-allow their kids to play. To be honest, I think that 13 is too young to be playing WOW by your self. And the parents should supervise the child on the computer. Now what really bothers me is that the 13-year would even hook up with a guy. It dosen't matter if you have gamed with this person online for years or months. You knever know who's at the other end. It's a trust issue, and it's a dangerous one at that.
