Sad to see him go. Not big into Star Trek myself, but there is no doubt his impact on the series and science fiction as a whole will be greatly missed.

Always shocking when something like this happens. You don't know when it will happen but 83 is an impressively long life. It was his appearances in the two most recent Trek movies that built a bridge, a bridge many people needed, myself being one of them. In recent years there were some great ads that he was involved with that weren't necessarily Star Trek related.
There were also a bunch of priceline ones that I won't include since the quality was rather bad.
And finally, here's the official Star Trek Online memorial statue added today. And yes, that is on Vulcan.
