Have you ever won a contest?

Yesterday, my team and I were presenting our Short-Movie we had to do for a school project. The project was to make a movie about whatever we'd like and to submit it to the contest. Only one of all the whole school could go to the Provincial Finals. Our movie was a huge Hollywood cliché with Hackers,War,Presidents,Pursuits and Explosions. Alot of visual effect. It took a total of about 150 hours to finally make it.
On my school, 15 movies were made for the Local Finals. Amazing stuff here. Four prizes were to given. (Best Acting,Best Scenario,People's Choice and Judges' Choice)

We won three trophies out of the four. We are the official winners of the school and our entry is going to Provincial Finals, Hoping to win the ultimate prize (I think it's $5.000).
We won the following: Best Acting (My Friend), People's Choice and Judges' Choice.

We couldn't believe what started as an idea grew to something this big. A judge said our movie was the best he has seen in his career.
We are going to the Provincial Finals on June 5th. Wish us luck heh.

A few days ago, I won first place in the surrealism category of my high school's Art Show. Really I just hacked a bunch of pictures together in photoshop, threw on a few filters, and added a gradient fill in the back. The judge was out of his/her mind. You should've seen the quality of work that took first place in other categories... #-o

Best sexer. I had to say that. I don't even know what the word means or if it exists.

I dunno..sure i've won medals/certificates/prizes and stuff for various things..sports n such. None that jump out really.

I don't recall every winning any contests in my life. I had won things at the fair as a kid and got some 1st place ribbons and what not, but I don't think it was any big deal at the time. Don't think I ever won any contest worth remembering. xD The best one I can remember is having the most accurate arm in little league baseball at a little league camp. Beat out another kid after we tied the first round. :twisted:

That's the only contest I remember winning that was worth remembering.

Well I've won the Geography Bee at my school twice if that counts.

I can't really think of any others but I know I've won some others.

I have won a contest. It was a drawing for a guitar. I was at SXSW in Texas. It was pretty friggin epic. its at this link http://twitpic.com/19enxm. It is a PRS Starla, worth atleast 1600 dollars.

I have a table with a bunch of Hockey/Baseball/Soccer trophies and medals. Mostly hockey. Also have a few ribbons from track and field (100m Sprint, Shot Put, Long Jump, High Jump). I don't really do track and field anymore though.

Hmm. When i was 16 and in school, Me and my twin were in a running competition with other members of our school. The first year, i didnt complete the race, while my brother came second. The next year, it was a 1,2 combonation. With me in first place this time :lol:

I've won petty things on the radio by calling and being the 10th caller, 9th caller, etc...Nothing that really stands out though. Awards from sports but nothing on a high level just normal. Lol I won a COD4 Tourny at Gamestop at the Midnight Release for MW2 and got the carboard cutout of the character on the cover. Sold it to some dude for $50

I have won several Guitar Hero contests, 1 Rock Band II, and 1 Halo; I've gotten 2nd in two 5k street races my town has held also; my friend also beats me.

I just won the Algebra II (A) Student Of The Year yesterday if that counts
