This isn't really comparing two different things. They are both musical comedy, therefore you judge who is funnier.

Some of the Lonely Islands songs are pretty old. They were aired on Saturday Night Live ages ago.

I love bandwagon fans

and they're both overrated in my opinion.

Is it really that hard to say that weird al is the king of funny lyrics. even though he is most famous for "white and nerdy". He's made a couple of songs himself like "don't download this song". which in my mind is great (am i being biased towards him??). i dont know who lonely island is, so i can't comment on wether or not they are good or not. But i do know this much. It's much harder to make yourself known from writing parodies . You have to master the art of writing lyrics. And you have to make yourself known. Both lonely island and Weird al have done this, But weird al only does songs that are well known and people can recognize. He only makes money off of performing public. But he still has to ask permission for the actual 'parody making".

In lonely island's case,

Its way better to be known for writing original songs. When you get known, All profits go to you (if you own your own record label) or (after paying 10 percent to the record label ur signed to).

In my honest opinion, Weird al has become famous for one reason.... "being weird" :lol:

I like both only because I've listened to Wierd Al for a really long time and Lonely Island guys are funny and they are in Hot Rod movie.

Weird Al has my vote because it takes a little bit more talent to rewrite lyrics to a song that are funny and actually make sense. Lonely Island just makes up random songs such as ji**ing in you pants. That's more stupid than it is funny to me. Plus I highly doubt Lonely Island will be around 5-10 years from now.

Just my opinion though.
