I took jazz history class this term in college and believe me, Sinatra is barely skimming the surface of the depth of jazz. Take a look at some of the older musicians like Charlie Parker, Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, etc. The list goes on and on of notable jazz musicians. There are not a whole lot of singers in jazz since most jazz is hard to put words to. Look more for the music type of jazz and not so much the singing side of jazz. Sinatra is great, but there is a whole lot more to jazz then just him for sure, especially in the music part of jazz.
