So I decided to follow what my brother did a few years back in college and take MUSC 175 (Jazz History) just to get a core class out of the way for Art, but also to try something new. And I must say, I enjoy Jazz a lot more than I thought before. Jazz has a long history of great musicians and music. It's even considered the starting point for pop music from the 50's, 60's, and onwards to the modern day. (And oldies is perhaps my most favorite genre) Anyways, I'd suggest that if you guys haven't been interested in Jazz before, look back into it. I think it's worth a try and you might find you like it as much as I'm beginning to. What are your thoughts on anything relating to Jazz, whether it be people, history, music, or something else?

Oh yes. Jazz is "Something you can listen to with Grandma" if you know what I mean? Louis Armstrong is one of the most well known Jazz musicians. (From the 1950's) Jazz and blues are very related. You should listen to some of that too.
