Increasingly concerned by Morytania mischief makers and invaders from the Wilderness, King Roald has a burning desire to increase homeland security. This has taken the form of a beacon network that will warn Varrock of invasion. The beacons have been built and firetenders have been assigned to look after them; the only problem is that they are yet to be tested – and that's where King Roald could use your pyromania...

After you learn the basics of lighting and maintaining the beacons in a sizzlingly short quest, you are free to use the beacons as you please. Why not challenge yourself and see how many beacons you can keep simultaneously alight? Rewards are in store for those who succeed, not to mention some Firemaking experience for flashy firetenders.

Summary
Where to start the All Fired Up quest:

Talk to King Roald in the Varrock Palace throne room.

Requirements to complete the All Fired Up quest:

Level 43 Firemaking
Priest in Peril

Access to:

A new way to train Firemaking
Some flaming-brilliant Firemaking rewards

In other news...

The level 86 Plank Make spell now has the option to skip the warning message when converting logs to planks. At this level, we feel that most players are aware that it costs money; so, after one cast, you can opt to turn the message off.

Various dyes have had their Grand Exchange price ranges adjusted to allow for a built-in 'delivery' cost. This compensates those players who have taken the time to gather dyes in larger quantities.

A new option has been added to allow the collection of Grand Exchange purchases in note form. Don't worry: you can still choose to take the objects directly, but for larger quantities this option should be cert-ifiably handy!

BLAH! I thought this would be F2P for sure, but it's P2P.

If I was a member, I would rate this 4/5 or so. But I'm not, so I don't even know how it's like.

EDIT: W00t 400th post

First 0/5 rating from me.

That's absolutely the lamest quest I've ever seen.

It was awful. This was about the worst quest I've done in my life. Cook's Assistant was more fun than this.

Looks pretty lame but it's another quest that will help me get more experience from tears of guthix so it's at least a 2 plus another 1 for a new way to firemake.
So I rate it a 3/5.
Edit: after learning about that burning hot pickaxe, this quest looks amazing!

Eh, not the best story but I wouldn't mind doing it. Reminds me about a part from Desert Treasure. I'd take advantage of the new way to train firemaking if I didn't have 99 already #-o

the quest was rather lame indeed. however the new pickaxe looks hot. good reward for the post quest mini minigame.

getting all 14 lit at once wasn't too hard so long as u did all the repairs to get to most of the beacons. as well as set logs on all of them prior to doing 1 quick run to light them all up.

Storyline: 0/5 What the? Beacons? Who planned this?

Quest continuation: 0/5 The only quest you have to finish to start this one is Priest in Peril. This quest doesn't even continue any current quests.

Plot: 0/5 To me, this is an extremely poorly written quest. You can easily tell that Jagex is trying to copy LOTR. They failed like usual. In LOTR the Beacons were on high mountain tops and were miles away from each other. The farthest any of these beacons were from each other were a few screens. Honestly, I could run to the next beacon quicker than they could get the whole beacon lit and visible. In some cases I could even shout to the other beacon. As for height, these beacons were definitely not on the highest possible areas in Varrock. If Jagex wanted to make this more realistic then they would've put a main beacon on top of one of the Varrock castle's towers. They also could've made the beacons that were on the flatlands be towers instead of just head-high stone monuments.

Characters: 0/5 I don't really like working with Psychos, especially Pyromanics (however odd that may sound, if you know what I mean, points to RSN).

Reward: 1/5 Noone would refuse free XP and money. The rewards are alright for the level of difficulty. If this quest was built how it should've been then these rewards would certainly not cut it.

the only thing I like about this update (to be honest) is the reward.

I have to say I love this update!
I've been working on Firemaking a lot lately (going for the cape  ), and this is a good way to get away from the click box, click log, click box, click log method.

I could not have stated it better.... I was expecting more when it was done, like "What?!?"

With firestarting one of my least fav skills I did the quest as it was relatively easy. Tried the minigame and admit those beacons are definately far too close together. However, the xp was worth the effort.
