Recently, we further widened how many free players can post on the RuneScape forums. All free players who have earned over 5 million XP are now welcome to post.

There should be an influx of new forum users to add to the current active forum users. We hope that all members and free players who already had access to the forums will give our new forum guests a warm welcome.

If you’re new to the forums, have a read of the Forum Code of Conduct and please check the Forum Specific Rules on the forums you want to post on.

I remember the first time they did this with the 12.5m exp f2p, some members flipped their lids. But I believe that in the end, the more people they allow to post on the forums, the better feedback they can get. Not to mention that many more people will be able to trade and communicate and facilitate better game play. That may seem like an exaggeration, but I really do believe that the 5m exp mark will be a great update to the forums. More is better. 5/5

To be honest I think this makes trolls reach the rants easier.

While more is better. Less is not. And less is what members are slowly getting. As F2P gets members things and members get not so liked updates, I see it that yes, we are not getting more.

awesome i can finally post on the forums again! a few months back i let my membership run out and i dont have 12.5m xp lol

bad update imo. the official forums for a massive game like runescape already flew at 2 pages an hour or faster when it was just members. lots more trolling, lots more 10 year olds who'd mommys won't pay for their sub, sigh

I agree. besides, that'd require the equivalent of an almost 99, or high levels in every skill.

I really don't have any problem with this. The RS forums are already pretty troll-infested, and this probably won't have a massive impact. If someone has 5m xp, I think that qualifies them as knowing enough about the game to make halfway intelligent posts. No need for anyone to lose their gourds over this.

If you have 5M xp in F2P you've played awhile or have previously been a member. So it's experienced people mixed with people who previously had access to the forums.

I guess Jagex is opening up to more connections to their players, but previously the forums were the only means of contacting them. I don't think there is any fixing the overactivity of the rsof anyways, so mightaswell give these experienced people/people who once had the ability to post on the forums the connection to Jagex.
