Hm seems like an alright update, it may be confusing to some at first but they will surely get used to it. Sad to say that most people's maxing videos are practically worthless now. On a more annoying side, are the mass plethora of people complaining about the update and threatening to quit but i guess that's their own decision. All in all, i thought it was okay seeing as most people like to see high hits and it gives lower level players an exciting chance to see a couple high hits rather than countless zero's all the time. 3/5

Oh dear Jagex, what have you done? Nerfing pvp again? This has got to be some sort of record. If anything they should put on option in which you could toggle the lifepoints so you could see the big numbers or the old ones. An alternative to that would be having world in which the old number system is used.

I think this is one of the best updates of the year so far.
There are many things that are improved with this and it has a lot of future potential

1) Soul Split Benifits
Instead of hitting a 1 you might hit a 6 now.
I know, it may seem like not much but peronally it changes a lot.
Because I mostly use soul split when I fight it'll at least heal me, what 1 wouldn't do.
Now there is a very low chance that you won't heal when you manage to hit.

2) The visual aspect.
Everyone prefers to see higher numbers.
For example, it's much nicer to see yourself hit a 153 instead of a 15.
And again that's another advantage, the veriaty.

3) Future potential.
Think about, and this is just one of the many posibilities, constitution bonuses on armours and weapons.
For example, someone with level 99 constitution equips a chestplate with +20% constitution bonus.
That person will have 1188 life points.
That can make a lot of difference though.

Well, with that said, it's a really brilliant update and I really hope they're going to do a lot with it.

Why get a 99 quickly when you can enjoy the skill for a longer time and make a lot of money in the process?

I never really thought about the Soul Split because I don't have 92 prayer. :P Having constitution bonuses on armour I don't really think would work, but then again it might work. Not really sure how that would work out but it would make a lot of armour worth a lot more if that happened.

I'm still not used to this update even though I've been on constant combat for a few days now. I just run whenever a living rock creature hits me a 80 and once even teleported. Hope I can control my brains not to run away now. But this was a decent update, I like how I can hit 100 + with my legs so its more exciting to watch. 4/5.

Then just look at the front 1 or 2 numbers and don't worry about the back number. With this update, I wonder if there are more decimal points now. XD

No, they didn't rebuild the damage formula to my knowledge.

I've read the reasoning for why they did it and both sides of why people say it's good and bad. In my opinion it's unnecessary but atleast it doesn't affect anything except for the visual aesthetics, and the ego's of newbies.

its not what i was hoping for but its a mod to the hp system all the same. i'm not sure if its because i'm using f2p gear or if i'm delusional but it seems as if you're more likely to hit lower end damage now than in the past, which is fine by me as that would stretch combat out longer.

i really wanted hp and things regarding it to be x100 and have the weapon's base attack be added to your damage >.> i personally would like it if rs made *some* steps to mirror some of the hundreds of cookie cutter mmos out there.
