Dungeoneering, Good Or Bad?

My Opinion - I think Dungeoneering is pointless with no meaning, It is also not associated with any skill.

Woodcutting -> Fletching/Firemaking -> Cooking -> Combat.

Dungeoneering -> ???

Neither. It's not a skill. It's a minigame.

And this type of topic re Dung has been put up before.

I'd say pointless. This type of thing is more like a minigame than a skill. I wish it would have been a minigame instead. Still haven't tried it out yet.

It's useful in terms of the rewards you can only get through it.

I think Dungeoneering is good. It's different then all other skills and have some nice rewards. Yea, it sort of like a mini-game, but who cares? It's relatively fun and not a grinding skill like most.

I think the skill will really shape up with batch two. We'll see ;)

Whether or not you like Dungeoneering, either as a skill, or more popularly a mini-game, the fact is that it has no bearing on any other part of RuneScape. Even if you enjoy Dungeoneering, it still has virtually no impact on the rest of the game.

I agree. The bags don't do anything, just an ugly item! And the Arcane necklaces suck for melee combat why would you wear them at all. The sighted bows are only +140 and +110 range bonus. You can get that from a maple shortbow, wow! Nature staff? You only save 5M getting 99 magic by alching, piece of junk. Scroll of life? Wow, if you are shane/shane fanboy you have to have it!! Tome of frost? I would rather carry a granite shield in my off hand when maging with water runes~~ Anti poison totem? Who gets poisoned now a days. Mercenary gloves are only +1 better range than barrows gloves so pointless! But I will spend like 20M on a hat or boots? that give +1 better range than something lower. Scroll of augrey? I already have piety why do I need a similar prayer for mage??? Chaotic weapons? I rather use a rune short sword! Rune square is better than those shields too.
This skill has no uses outside of dungeoneering area!

The "I want it to be a minigame", wouldn't that be because you just don't want to train it? Or are you just concerned with protecting the traditional value of a skill: variation of one of like 5 different formats and click click click click click click. Because if you actually liked the skill, I don't think you would care about whether it is a minigame or skill, because you would play it either way. But if you didn't like it and it was a minigame, you wouldn't play it. I would rather slayer and runecrafting to be minigames so I wouldn't have to train them, but oh well.

I voted "neither" because my opinion of it is neutral. I don't like it but it's not something I hate, I guess. Definitely is not pointless with no meaning, though. I only trained to 40 which really isn't enough to have an opinion of it on, but I felt it was way too combat based and the rounds would take so long and can't just like save your progress and log out. I haven't trained it to the point where I can say like "I HATE THIS SKILL I DONT WANT TO TRAIN IT" like runecrafting.

I don't know, but I find dungeoneering extremely tedious and boring

Poor skill. As others have said; little more than a minigame, which would be forgiveable were the rewards not so terrible.

it really is a minigame and the rewards are terrible, but I for one do enjoy it, it allows you to get diversified xp in what i find to be a fun way and also is an incentive to have 99 in certain skills.

A Kid asked Jesus, "How much do you love me?" and Jesus said. "This much." And spread his arms out on the cross and died. If you believe that he did this for you put this in your signature.

Lets look at it this way. This skill is made to be nearly 100% bot-proof.

A skill that can't be botted. You're not happy about that? Are you guys botters?

I like the skill, the complexity of it makes me feel like I'm playing a mini-game; but, on the other hand I'm getting hard earned total lvls (Pretty much the whole reason I *play* it)
