you know the speculation going around that jagex might increase level cap from 99 to 120, so here's something to talk about.


do you want the level cap to increase?



here's my thoughts.

since every man and his dog right now are maxed melee (99 att str def hp) it would make sense that the increase to 120 will be a good move.

not only will the max combat increase beyond 138, there'll also be more incentive for us to continue training melee after maxing, currently the only incentive around is slayer.

besides, i have over 30m hp exp, and i think since i've already earned "double lvl 99 exp" i certainly want to have it make a bigger difference than someone who has 13m exp.

Increase it like it's done for dungeonwhateveritscalled and I'm fine with it. Probably should of been done long ago to many people have all 99s these days.

And frankly it brings meaning back to them because cooking cape isn't anything anymore. But someone walking about with the 120 one well that's over 100 million exp..that's still impressive.

With a cap of 120, I don't see someone hitting that for the new skill for quite a while. The increase in other skills could be cool, but it would require quite a bit of thinking if they changed the combat maxes. Pures would likely be happy, some of the retards kids getting 100+ strength while leaving defence and such lower.

It could be interesting for the skills that haven't had any major updates in quite some time. Would, for example, potentially add the ability to smith Dragon armors, or something to that effect.

Its a good idea but it would suck for people who got 99's and it took forever for them. However it would be a nice update to keep you playing.

guess i'll stay conservative. it took me forever to get to 99 fishing cooking attack strength hp... if i have to go no lifing on fishing and cooking again... i'll kill somebody

99 seems like a decent enough level, but it could really go either way imo. I'd be fine with either approach, but there are definitely pros and cons to each in their own rights. On the whole, not a bad idea. Probably one of the better ones I've heard in a while.

The level 120 cap on Dungeoneering is one of the few things in that update I liked. I don't see why not- it's not like those who have 99s will lose their capes. Besides, 99 capes are very common now, with a decent percentage of the (members) population now having at least one. Level 120 capes would be extremely exclusive. A good idea in short.

I agree. Capes like cooking and fletching aren't respected anywhere near as much as the slayer and construction capes, etc. But 120 cooking, in my book at least, would be more prestigious than 99 runecrafting, for example.

Actually, I'd probably appreciate 99 rc more than 120 cooking. Both would be equally hard, but 99 runescrafting is one of the most difficult 99s where as cooking, to 99 or 120, wouldn't be as bad. Just takes a little more time. xD I seriously think 99 rc would be better...or 99 prayer. :D

with the stuff like this ive just got one comment lol.. u wouldnt really have to no life the skills again.. you would have 2 skill capes for each skill just like dungeoneering.

my 2 cents: id LOVE! having a 120 cap on all skills! more room for more updates + id really like to have meaning in training range farther. id go after 120 range in a heart beat. And as for future goals id leave easy 99's to 99 and probably train the good ones past 99. (ranged, def, and magic).

I think it'd be pretty awesome to raise the level cap from 99 to 120. Although if it was for all skills then it'd be a lil boring..especially in skills like Runecrafting and Mining. And 120 Dungeoneering will take someone ages to achieve.

i don´t like the idea, that all skills raise to a max lv of 120....
most people would get nolifers just 2 get 120 in all skills and i think it would be too boring in some skills (rc, mining, agi)
and 99s are difficult enough^^
