banned for autoing~!!!!!

i just appealed a perm ban for autoing even though i never autoued in my life i was wondering what are the chances ill get my account back even though i didnt auto???

Good luck getting your account back. Runescape uses computers to tell if someone is autoing so when they catch someone doing it... they almost always are.

Well sometimes if you just stay online for insane amounts of time a day they think you are autoing.

They gather a lot of information before they ban someone for that. I doubt they made a mistake. Admit defeat.

i'm really sorry, exe just got banned too for "autoing" I think this new update is pathetic to ban people for nonsense reasons because they have a small suspicion that they are autoing

Jsbrules, JaGeX isn't go to permanently ban a player unless the have overwhelming evidence of a player breaking the rules. I highly doubt they would ban a customer for no reason.

well they said i can appeal in a week for security reasons so what does that mean???can i get it back?

If he's really telling the truth, then it makes me suspicious of Jagex. I don't care what supercomputers they have if any. I want real live people looking into the clear cut evidence and banning me, not a machine. For as we all know, Judgment Day is coming when the machines will rise against us and try to kill us all. :shock:

But John Connor will save us, and we will destroy the machines and Skynet and be victorious. =D>

Anyways, I'll I'm saying is that if a computer told Jagex he was autoing, and he truly wasn't, then they have bugs in their system and should be checking it manually on a case by case basis. But I don't truly know how they do it, so I won't lay judgment yet. But they better be doing it right and not banning innocent people. [-X

Don't make the mistake of macroing. This is meant as a general word of warning for everyone. It is not a good idea to admit to macroing on the forums. Admitting to macroing will get you a 1 on 1 visit with the ban hammer.

As for computer detection... From a reverse engineering stand point it would be easy to set up a daemon to monitor for any form of a repeated action that has been tied to a known piece of software. In other words macroing uses patterns and these patterns are detectable. What makes a player human is that we accomplish the same task different each time we do it. It is also logical to assume that Jagex will know you are ignoring people since your chat is set to off and friends.

Just a reminder, tread carefully.

Good luck to you Italy, hope you get your account back if you didn't cheat(i'm not saying you did). I usually talk to a few friends when I am online just to prove that I don't have macro, and that way you should be safe with turning chats off later on.
