Rune Prices

Does anyone have an idea why the prices for Runes are so low?

Especially the Blood Rune price compared to the Death Rune. I can't seem to find a reason for this except that death runes were used to buy tokkul and that the death rune is used in the Slayer Dart spell. But the last one should mean the Mind Rune price should be high as well. So does any of you have a theory about it?

Bloods have been low for most of the 30 day spectrum, deaths were high then dropped drastically and are now back up high again, and natures recently went up but are starting to fall again. Laws appear to be going up a lot, down a little, up a lot more, down a little more, etc. My only guess about bloods is that they can be made just as fast as deaths but are worth more exp and used to be worth more money but have since lost their value and the people just haven't stopped making them. The laws appear to have a repeating pattern which is odd for something traded in such a high volume. I'm not sure about the other runes at all, though, and any reason I could think up would probably be far fetched.

Yeah it's weird, I had a large collection of Blood Runes from monster drop and I got to about 2k. The last time I had sold Bloods before then was when they were about 500 each...

And when I went to sell my load, they were down to 250.

idk, jagex probably wanted runes low priced because u have to use tons of runes to get 99 mage
thats just my theory though..

Lmao, deaths are more than bloods. There's a simple explanation. The GE is a horrible economic system.

Alright guys, lets be serious now.

I just think that the GE is NOT a very good economic system. A smaller margin cap needs to be put on the low end because other wise everything will make it down to its low alch prices. At this point, the only way something significantly raises is because of a new update pretty much. Either that or predicting future updates to come. Then there's always the merchanting clans that try to manipulate the prices... This wouldn't be a problem if the GE wasn't so bad. I think the GE should be used for more of a convenience rather than a "restricter". I know a few people that have quit the game because the economy is failing miserably. JaGeX thinks they're doing the "RIGHT THING" but really they're ruining it.

The only way runes will all rise and possibly stay up there is gonna be at this new massive PvP update. It's just sad that we have to wait for updates involving the certain item for it to be active in the economy again.

i doubt that will be the reason, see jagex added this whole trade limit and got rid of wild to stop Real World Trades , and make the game harder. I think alot of things they do is to make the game more of a challenge .

I think that when they were doing price updates they bodged it . Probably got bored and changed the prices randomly.
Maybe it wasn't bloods that was meant to drop =P
