The Next Thing...

Hey Everyone,

I have been wondering what the next kind of game play update (i mean like teh graohic update) will happen next. I have a idea that it might be that you see through the eyes of your runescape character, That would be cool but may not be for a long time.

What do you guys think?

The graphical updates to the rest of the monsters that haven't been updated, like hobgolbins.

I don't predict Runescape ever leaving the browser, so I'm not sure how much farther the graphics can go ... for now Jagex is still having to fix current problems

But I think this'll last a pretty long time unless it's taken off the browser. I'm predicting another 4-5 years until Runescape gets another graphical update, judging roughly on the time span between RSC, RS2 and 'RS3' if you can call it that. I'd prefer more content/areas before another overhaul though.

Runescape going to the console is the next big update, Jagex has already thought about it.

Yeah. I hope that they update the player models again so i don't look like a have a limp and that I have a nose and such.

Hope anyway, but we never can be too sure with Jagex.. #-o

I think they'll probably realise the interfaces are impractical in most situations as they are now. With today's gigantic screen resolutions for full screen mode, I don't want my view to be obscured by my bank when I could easily drag it into a corner and out of the way. It would be very handy to be able to have multiple interfaces open too (like prayer and inventory at the same time), and most screen resolutions would certainly allow that. Possibly another perk for members?

What's wrong with having a nose?

Yeah, I personally hope there's first-person view too. Not just that, but keyboard-control (forward, turn, etc.) while in it. Not really graphical, that feature, but the new graphics might include sky and atmosphere as well. And to be honest, I think that's almost all that there's left to add, aside from the NPC graphical update to those that never got it (God Wars dungeon bosses and Chaos Elemental?)
